Artist Profile

I have always loved being creative and as a child growing up in Tea Tree Gully, I dreamed of being an artist. I was inspired to use acrylic paints as a 15 year old by a wonderful art teacher when studying art at Banksia Park High School.  Now 45 years later my artistic journey continues. In recent years, this journey has led me to explore other mediums including silk painting, pastels and printmaking.  

I love telling stories through my creativity. Each of my artworks represents threads of a memory that I have experienced. These threads are a part of the interwoven tapestry that reflects my life.





"My paintings are always about capturing a moment in time.
With my camera constantly slung over my arm, these moments are usually memories of happy times spent with my family.

Sometimes these moments are the joy of a ball game on the beach. At times they can be a passing bird in flight, 
or the reminiscence of a pristine beach and how I would like to remember my visit.
At times they are that moment of connection between myself and an animal who reveals its soul to me through its eyes.
Applying medium to a canvas is just part of my process. It is having experienced the moment that brings each artwork to life. 
I hope you enjoy seeing some of the threads of my life's journey unravelled".


Annette currently exhibits artwork at Art @ Goolwa Gallery, and occasionally at Pepper Street Gallery - Magill, Top of the Torrens Gallery - Birdwood, and Springton Gallery during SALA.
